The Kelsey collection mostly consists of notebooks of genealogical information--sometimes typed, sometimes handwritten--providing names of individuals, dates lived, and their relationships with other family members. The family histories extend back to the 1700s. The collection also includes information from Silver Lake and Topeka in Shawnee County, Kan., such as family farm records, Kansas Farm Management Associations account books, and some records from the Kiro Mercantile Cooperative.
